SWAA Member James Clow Makes Significant Sale

James Clow was one of the artists displaying his work at the Birds in Art 2018 Show where he sold one of his paintings to The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum for its permanent collection.  I am sure that visitors to the Art Museum will enjoy this painting for many years to come.

The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, in the heart of Wausau, Wisconsin, is known for its internationally acclaimed Birds in Art exhibition, which opens each fall on the weekend after Labor Day. All-new avian-themed interpretations in original paintings, sculptures, and graphics are sure to inspire in endless ways. The inaugural exhibition that helped launch the Museum’s opening in 1976 developed to become the Woodson Art Museum’s flagship and internationally renowned Birds in Art exhibition.

Ramona Swift Thiessen

Ramona is a performance painter who loves capturing beauty from nature and putting it to paint on canvas. Visit her booth at The Reflections of Nature Art Show at Prairieland Park, Hall C from Oct 26 - 28. 

Ramona will be "performing" at the show on Saturday at 1:00 pm and again Sunday morning at 10:00 am. Be sure to come by and see how quickly she can create a masterpiece.

Performance Painting is a fun and uncommon form of entertainment where Ramona paints as the audience watches from start to finish. She has painted along side musicians in concert, at fundraisers, at coffee houses, retreats, at banquets while guests dined and drank, etc! It's always a lot of fun as often the guests like to gather around and chat with Ramona as they watch her masterpiece come to life.
