Passing of Robert (Bob) Merkle

I am sure that many of the SWAA members will know Cam's father Bob Merkle.  He has attended all of the Reflections of Nature Shows that I can remember; and he loved to meet and speak with the artists.

Our deepest condolences to Cam & Lori.

Online Membership Payment Problem

Houston - we have a problem. Isn't that how it is said in one of the Apollo movies?

Someone has joined or renewed membership April 1 paying online using the Square online payment system we have in place, but not filling in the membership form to go with that payment. If PayPal is used, the money is held for 30 days, but we do know who made that payment. When the Square payment system is used, we get the money immediately, but we have no way of knowing who sent the money (at least not any that I can find).

So ...... did any of you renew your membership on April 1?
Contact us at swaa1986@gmail.com and let us know it was you.

Past President has Renewed her Membership

It is fairly typical that the person who is managing a blog for an association forgets to include something of fair personal importance. Like that she renewed her membership. Quite a while ago. And this has happened here. She was so busy blogging about everyone else that she missed herself!

Beth Campbell is the Past President of SWAA and Past Chair of Reflections. And she loves to create. Painting - all mediums on anything that doesn't move. Carving. Sculpture. Photography. Felting. Writing. Sewing. Knitting. Crocheting. And working on blogs or websites. Does playing the piano or gardening count? She feels there is no point in getting up in the morning if you can't create something that day!

Former Feature Artist Judy Kasdorf renews her SWAA Membership

Judy Kasdorf has been the recipient of many awards and honours including the privilege of being The Reflections of Nature Art Show's Feature Artist in 2017.

Over the years Judy has worked hard for SWAA - she was the secretary for many years and is an active volunteer at Reflections. In spite of the fact that she is working full-time she has volunteered at almost all SWAA events.

Find out more about Judy at her SWAA Member Page
