Bob Gander is Moving

Bob Gander is moving 2 provinces away - he is a talented and active member of our association and we will miss him. Attend the Grosvenor Park United Church fundraiser next Saturday to pick up a piece of his work. He has donated 20 large carvings and 50 smaller ones to their cause. This is free to attend, but register with Eventbrite prior to going so that they have an idea of how many people to expect.

Monday, April 11, 2022

Since 2 shows have been cancelled due to Covid, we are allowing Junior Artists to register their work based upon their age when they completed the piece being entered for 2022 only. Previously Junior entered their work based upon their age at registration. This may mean that some Juniors are able to enter work into two levels - we are looking forward to having lots of entries!

ARTIST TRADING CARDS AT REFLECTIONS OF NATURE

The Artist Trading Cards will be a return item at Reflections of Nature 2022 with  trading cards depicting wildlife or nature.

There will be two divisions: Photographs and Painting & Mixed Media

As well, to kick start the process we are having two challenges:

- Winter or Spring cards due May 31

- Summer or Autumn cards due August 31

These cards will be shown on the website, then displayed at The Reflections of Nature Show to be traded at the end along with the other cards.

BOTTLE DRIVE

Craig Hubbard has arranged a year-round ongoing province-wide opportunity to support the Saskatchewan Wildlife Art Association by using a fundraising service offered by SARCAN.

Simply take your boxes or bags of bottles, cans and milk cartons to Sarcan. Go to the “Drop & Go” section and hit ENTER on the screen. Put in our phrase: carve a bird (no capitals needed, no quotation marks, just need the spaces). Hit ENTER and confirm your donation is going to SWAA. Print off your labels and attach to your boxes or bags.

ARTISTS: Bring your receipt to The Reflections of Nature Art Show and Sale when you register your art on October 21 between noon & 8 pm at Hall E Prairieland Park, Saskatoon. For each receipt of $10 or more you will receive $2 off your registration fee.

We are concentrating our efforts for a month-long April fundraiser. But this opportunity to save money at registration is available all year.
